Random updates
Just some random stuff that I've been meaning to jot down...
Will is now over 20 lbs. He's as big as our friend's 9-month-old (height, too). We've pretty much decided that he'd better have a future as an athlete, or he's going to just be massive. We've currently thinking offensive lineman.
Kaitlin can now broad jump (jump forward from a stand still). She puts this skill to good use jumping onto Jimmy while he's lying down on the floor, putting both knees into his chest. This usually results in Jimmy saying something like "Ooof!" We've taught her that she has to ask Daddy before she jumps on him (and have Daddy say yes). For a while, she was jumping without warning - quite painful!
KG also got her first pair of scissors over the weekend. We've been going to preschool events at the library and at church, and she's been using scissors both places. Now she has her own so she can practice at home! She loves it, and can happily spend 15-20 minutes making little cuts all the way around the edge of a piece of construction paper.
We all went to the AA Art Fair last Friday, and had a great time. We met up with Penney, Ben & Owen - KG & Owen shared her wagon and got envious looks from most passers-by. Will rode in the Ergo and slept most of the time, which meant I had the hood up. We got a couple of curious glances, and one elderly gentleman even asked if I had a baby or a doll "in there." I assured him that Will was, in fact, a baby.
Kaitlin's imagination is definitely improving. Tonight, she was lying on the floor and started kicking my leg. When I told her to stop because she was hurting me, she said sorry, gave my leg kisses to make it better, and then took my hand and said, "We go doctor now. You feel all better." She led me to her room & sat me down on the bed, then said, "I go get band-aid. Put on leg. Make better." She went to the hallway, picked up an imaginary band-aid, came back, and stuck it on my leg. Then she told me we had to go to the car & drive home. She led me to the kitchen, told me where on the floor to sit, strapped us both into our imaginary car seats, and she drove home.
Anywho, just some random stories - that's all for now! Got to put Will to bed!
